About Me

Hello, my name is Angie. Welcome to my profile

My journey toward becoming a counsellor grew out of the positive experience counselling had on my own life. Trying to be your authentic self while managing expectations, relationships or inner struggles can feel exhausting. Constantly adapting or questioning yourself can leave you feeling disconnected, drained or unsure of where you belong. My own lived experience as a mother of two grown children, wife and carer to a disabled husband, and daughter of a recovering alcoholic, have given me a deep understanding of how challenging life can be. This is why I believe so strongly in offering a space where you are met with Empathy, Acceptance and Genuine care.

I have a particular interest in working in addiction and love to work holistically and creatively, with the therapeutic relationship itself being at the heart of the work together.

During my training I had placements working at a secondary school and a substance misuse charity where I still volunteer as a counsellor.

As a qualified counsellor, much of my practise involves working collaboratively with individuals experiencing a wide range of issues including:

Anxiety, Depression, low self-esteem, Addiction, Trauma, Loss, Abuse-Sexual/Domestic, ADHD/Neurodiversity, Work related stress, Relationship challenges, and Exam Stress.

My clients would describe me as down to earth, someone who listens and understands with warmth and compassion.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)and as such I abide by their professional code of conduct and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework. There is more information available at:
